"End of the World" by Bill Case

Bill Case has authored another fine article " End of the World "  published in the September issue of PineStraw Magazine. His story recounts the history of the 1973 World Open Golf Championship held in Pinehurst.  This was the richest PGA event at that time and was a rare 8 round professional tournament held at Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4. It was Ben Crenshaw's fortnight introduction to Pinehurst about 40 years before his restoration of the No. 2 Ross classic. There are many interesting and funny stories.  The article is provided courtesy of author Bill Case and PineStraw Magazine in Pinehurst.
